Two individuals had been arrested in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday night for illegally transporting 423 liquor bottles from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh.
The Kanchikacherla police caught the cache whereas it was being transported from Telangana’s Khammam to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
Nandigama Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramana Murthy mentioned that police group which was checking autos at Donabanda discovered liquor bottles in a automobile.
“Kanchikacharla Sub Inspector Ranganath, Freeway Cell Sub Inspector Koteswara Rao and their group had been checking autos at Donabanda. They discovered liquor bottles in a automobile (Eicher). The bottles are hidden beneath the legs of two individuals within the automobile, and within the toolbox too,” Mr Murthy instructed ANI.
“A complete of 423 liquor bottles are discovered. Most of them are quarter bottles and are of premium manufacturers. Two individuals had been transporting these bottles from Khammam to Vijayawada. They’ve been arrested. One individual, who’s in Vijayawada is financing them. We will even arrest him quickly,” he mentioned.
