As outrage over the music grew, The Wiggles member Anthony Discipline took to Twitter to apologise for it. “It was not my intention to be culturally insensitive to the Indian group, or so as to add worth to ethnic stereotyping. Apologies,” he wrote.

The Wiggles spoke additional on the controversy in an announcement supplied to HuffPost. 

“Over time, now we have been lucky to collaborate and work with some splendidly numerous artists, musicians, performers and dancers from various cultural backgrounds. By these collaborations, now we have had the chance to share, discover and have fun many numerous cultures,” the assertion reads.

“Our intention was for the music to be a celebration, to not be culturally insensitive. We apologize for any offence induced. The music and video not options on our Wiggles official websites and The Wiggles have determined that they won’t be performing it throughout their reside reveals going ahead.”
