Pakistan: Almost 50 individuals killed following heavy monsoon rains in previous three days

Almost 50 individuals have been killed throughout Pakistan after three days of heavy rains and flash floods.

As per Al Jazeera, quoting Pakistan’s nationwide catastrophe administration authority, 19 individuals have died within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province whereas 12 individuals have died within the Sindh province and 10 individuals have died within the northern Gilgit Baltistan area within the final three days.

Rains have broken round 100 properties and induced a breach in a flooded essential canal, inundating villages within the Sindh province. Troops with boats rushed to the areas within the province on Sunday.

Heavy rainfall started final week and continued on Sunday flooding the streets of Lahore. Life has additionally been disrupted in Karachi, the capital of the Sindh province, the place most streets are flooded. Heavy rainfall is predicted to proceed within the subsequent week as properly, knowledgeable the Meteorological Division.
