A juvenile kid, who supposedly produced a phony Facebook account of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar and tried to cheat individuals of their cash, was on Friday detained in Uttar Pradesh, Telangana cops stated.

According to a main release of Telangana cops, the kid aged 17 comes from Gaon Mandaura Goverdhan, Brahmanan of Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district.

On August 25, cops got a grievance from the victim mentioning that he got a Facebook pal demand from Mr Joginipally and he accepted his pal demand, through Facebook messenger.

” The kid observed the profile information of Mr Joginipally, through Facebook and hatched a strategy by utilizing his name and background to make simple cash from his fans. He produced a phony profile of the MP utilizing his image and sent out a good friend demand to an individual (victim) here. Impersonating the MP, the kid asked the guy to make an online transfer of Rs 50,000 for satisfying the medical costs of his (MP’s) pal’s household, who remains in Hospital ICU at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh,” the release stated.

According to the grievance, the juvenile kid utilized to talk in the Hindi language for asking cash by providing Google pay numbers.

” Acting on the grievance, the cops released questions about the profile and discovered that he is not Santosh Kumar Joginipally and it is a scams. Throughout the course of the examination, the kid was collared on August 28. The cops took the product proof from him which was utilized in the commission of the offense,” the release stated.
