4 individuals have been arrested for his or her alleged involvement in printing pretend forex notes, Assam Police mentioned on Sunday.
The police have seized a printing machine, ATM playing cards, cell phones and laptop computer from their possession.
Based on police, the accused have been recognized as Nijam Uddin, Hamid Ali, Najrul Hussain, all residents of Islampur and Afzalur Rahman, a local of Ahmedpur.
“Based mostly on the knowledge, a workforce of Crime Department, Guwahati together with the employees of Dispur Police Station searched a rented condo at Fakruddin Ali Ahmed path and arrested 4 individuals,” police mentioned.
“Bundles of pretend forex notes, a machine used to print pretend notes, ATM playing cards, 14 cell phones and a laptop computer have been seized from their possession. Additional authorized actions are being taken,” police added.
