Joyful Navratri 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the folks of the nation on the auspicious event of Navratri. Shardiya Navratri begins in the present day with the puja of Shailputri Devi, the primary avatar of Navdurga. PM Modi took to twitter and posted a video of Shailputri Devi with stotras or chants for the goddess. “Pranams to Maa Shailputri (first type of Goddess Durga worshipped) on Day 1 of Navratri. Along with her blessings, might our planet be protected, wholesome and affluent. Might her blessings give us energy to deliver a constructive change within the lives of the poor and downtrodden,” the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.

At Kanpur, devotees visited the Vaibhav Lakshmi and Durga temple in the present day. “We thank the federal government for re-opening the temple. All COVID-19 measures are being taken by us and the temple is being sanitized repeatedly,” the temple priest Mahant Anand advised information company ANI.

Sharadiya Navratri includes praying to Goddess Durga and her 9 types or Navdurga. Navratri and Durga Puja are celebrated in distinctive methods in several states of the nation. Sharad Navratri marks Goddess Durga defeating the demon Mahishasura, signifying the victory of excellent over evil.
